Snapshots!

I have been busy with several gardening projects this week but I wanted to share a few quick pics with you from the garden today. Temperatures have been staying in the 80s around here so I have seen more butterfly activity in the garden recently.

Monarch with Tropical Milkweed and Giant Milkweed

Monarch caterpillar  - he helped me teach a butterfly class to 3 year olds this week!

  1. Hi Eileen, I too have been noticing a ton of caterpillars in Miami. They just wiped me out of all my tropical MW and even my 3 GIANT MW plants. By any chance have you been successful at growing Giant MW from cuttings?

  2. Yes, I have grown Giant MW from cuttings - didn't do anything special. I just cut the branch at an angle, wet the end, dipped it in rooting powder, and stuck it in soil (in a pot) :-). I'm glad to hear you are getting a lot of monarch activity down there. Thank you leaving a comment and reading my blog!!
